NiceWow! I love the sound quality of the walkie talkie from upstairs to outdoors! Buy a bag of batteries because if you leave units on to be at the ready anytime to call child downstairs for dinner, phone, etc., batteries will die in less than 24 hours. If you're looking to use these as communication devices so that you do not need to yell through the house, which I hate, get ready to keep climbing stairs. I suggest you get a pair with rechargeable batteries. My grandson loved the flashlight on the device when the power went out during the ice storm. He loves these walkie talkies for play time. I even called out his spelling test words and sentences while he was in his room and I was in my room taking a quick rest. It made the homework fun for him.Smaller than i expected but we will see how great grand child reactsMy kids love these brightly colored walkie talkies that can stand up on its own. They enjoy the flashlight and call functions and practicing changing the channels. The talkie unit buttons are clearly labeled and the kids can find and use the options quickly. These do require batteries but the units are durable with the great sound quality.These were purchased to replace the baby monitor in the room and the stigma of having the monitor in the room as an elementary student. So this pair of walkie talkies are used when one of the kids is sick in bed and can radio one of us parents if they need something.These are you basic walkies nothing special but they work great . My son has been using them around the house to communicate with everyone around the house which he thinks is so much fun. He is 5 so they are easy to use and battery life is decent but my son forgets to turn them off so we go through batteries quicker. Great purchase for kids and price is good too.I bought these for my 3 year old granddaughter!! My husband & son set them up, which wasn't difficult @ all, then my granddaughter started using them, what a JOY!! She was soooo excited! They are the perfect size for small hands, and she had a few minutes of learning to press button before she talked, but soon was an expert at it. We had a wonderful afternoon with her going from room to room testing the distance that she could call us!!! They will also be handy for camping, or when out on walks, etc. We were very pleased with them and look forward to many moments & activities!!After 15 years my uniden 2 way radios died on me. I only use these a couple times a summer at the camp ground while the kids are riding bikes around. It’s nice having piece of mind that they can get ahold of us if some one crashes. These are nice and simple for the kids, and very small and easy to put in a pocket. So far they work great, hopefully they hold up long term, but they were way cheaper price than all the others so I think they were an excellent buy.Gift for Grandkids. Does not have the range described. Not what I expected. Price too high for a mediocre kids toy.
