No one likes being shouted at. Why the initial volume is set to the highest level dumbfounds me. Medium would've been a better choice than to try and make people pee themselves with a startling loud voice. If anyone knows how to permanently set this to a more amiable setting, please comment. The programming cable is proprietary and not just any USB-C cable will be able to communicate. 30 maximum channels are plenty for small shops or kids to try this entry-level GMRS handheld. Clip it on and try not to store it in a bag full of stuff due to the high probability of inadvertently setting off the emergency alert. Digging through a bunch of junk trying to shut it off is embarrassing. The 6 charging slots are all loose and could have higher tolerances. If inserted incorrectly, then the unit will not charge because of too much extra space. The range is decent for what it is. Nice size in the hand. The display is legible. The sound quality is coherent.So far everything is working as expected per the reviews I read / watched before purchasing these. Functionally they work great. I have not had to charge them yet. One disappointment based on other reviews was that these did not come individually wrapped and self contained each with their own USB-C charging cable. Previous reviewers stated they were. They of course can be charged together on the base charger, or individually with your own USB-C cable. I just expected the cables to be there.The headsets are always having issues or get jammed and lock up the chanel. Getting decent headsets is a huge pain I guess single pin earpieces are hard to come byAt the time of this review, the cost for this 6 pack comes to about $22 per radio which is a crazy good value! No, there aren't a ton of settings you can mess with here. Basically volume and the ability to change channels. It also includes an ear piece that has a built in mic. In playing around with them today, I was getting over a mile away and kept coming through loud and clear. I haven't testing it much with obstructions but I did play around with them inside my house and while I was on the second floor and my wife was downstairs on the first floor, separated by at least 4 walls, there again was no problem with reception.For the price and the performance I am getting out of these tiny radios, this pack of 6 is an incredibly value and as long as you don't need a super long distance radio, I don't think you will find a better set of 2 way radios. I'm pretty impressed.I sometimes have a team of three or more photographers and assistants working with me on a job, but we can be spread out across an entire campus. These radios let us keep in touch and do their job exactly the way they're supposed to.So far I've experienced good sound quality - clarity and volume - in noisy environments, excellent battery life, and a range that I haven't moved past yet.Five stars, highly recommended if this is something you're looking forThese walkie talkies are nice and slim, lightweight and easy to handle. Sound comes through them really well. Has a good range coverage. They hold a good charge. They each come with their own charging cords. Doesn't take long for them to become full charged. Quality is nice and they seem to be rather durable.These are awesome!They come with everything you need including individual charger cords and boxes for each unit. They take a type c cable like most android phones.We got them to use on float trips and hikes and they have great sound quality. It doesn't sound muffled or staticky.They're easy to use and set up and are tiny enough to fit just about anywhere. No big bulky clunky things.They have a great sleek design and they don't have an issue holding a charge.These are so much higher quality than any of the cheap walkie talkies we've purchased.The fact that you get 6 in the set blows my mind. These work great and for the price it's just an amazing value. Usually sets of this quality only come with 2 or 3 for this price.Absolutely reccomemd and would purchase again. Would make a great gift for anyone who is out working on a farm, security officers, families out hiking etc. Just an awesome product.My kids and I went on vacation in the Bahamas. I gave each of them a walkie talkie so that we could locate each other on the resort and not use our cellphones. These have a great range, charged quickly and have a long lasting battery. We didn't use the earpieces.
