I bought these as a gift for my kids for Christmas so they can each have one and I can have one when they go outside to play. My kids are 6 and 11 yrs old and they can both use them. My 6 yr old struggles holding the button down the entire time he is talking so he cuts out a lot but there is a feature that we use with him sometimes that it just picks up anytime he starts talking but sometimes he forgets and all we hear is him talking to himself while playing in the woods but it is a cool feature for hands free walkie talkie needs.I liked the 3 different colors and it also came with 3 different colored lanyards to attach to them and they can easily detach with a button from the lanyards which was pretty cool, so far my kids have not broken the lanyards and they are still attached but we have lost one so the 3rd lanyard is not in the picture but it was orange. They do have clips on the back of the walkie talkie to attach to your pants or overalls too.It did come with a user guide which helps because there are different features you can turn on and off. My kids and I have been able to use it with out using the guide a lot so it is rather simple to use if you have used walkie talkies before but the guide is nice to have.So far the battery life has been good. We do power them off when we are not using them but we have used them 4 times and probably a total of 2.5 hours and we have not charged them yet but will need to soon. It does come with one charger for all 3 but it can charge all 3 at one time so the triple charger was nice but you just need a micro usb charger for it. It does have a headphone port on the bottom of each walkie-talkie.I am happy with the purchase so far definitely better then other "kid friendly" walkie talkies we have purchased because I really wanted them to have good range. My kids have taken them about 200 yards into the woods with no problem so far.
