Heil Sound HTH-Y Handi Talkie Headset for Yaesu/Vertex Handheld Radios - Premium Communication Headset for Amateur Radio, Emergency Response & Outdoor Adventures

I wanted this headset to use a Yaesu FT-60R in my vehicle. The FT-60 has pretty good audio from its internal speaker, but I wanted to use it with a speaker/microphone. The standard Yaesu speaker/microphone has worse speaker audio quality than the handheld itself, so I ordered the Heil single ear HTH-Y headset expecting the legendary Heil sound.The sound from the headset was almost impossible to understand - very muffled and indistinct.I tried various volume settings but nothing helped, so I returned it within a few days.Amazon refunded promptly, but the quality of the product was very disappointing.The actual supplier (GigaParts) said they may charge a restocking fee if it's not faulty.I will decide what to do if they try that, but they are also a professional supplier so I will wait and see.Stay away from this one - I believed the Heil hype but the experience didn't match the hype for me.
