This pack is interesting...Whether it is for you, depends on what you are looking for.In my opinion, the two really big benefits of a pack that you hold on your chest are:- First, you can access anything it your pack quickly without needing to remove it- Second, since the pack is always in your scope of vision, its contents are much safer than they would be on your back.Obviously, like a back or fanny pack, you also get your hands free with this chest bag.Where it does differ is the fitting.If you are a lady, your cleavage obviously changes how this sit on you chest.For me and my C/D cup, that was not actually a big issue, but more voluptuous women may struggle more with the angle of the pack.When it comes to adjusting the fit of the pack, it is not hard to change the strap lengths, but how to shorten them is a little counterintuitive.Basically, if you tighten the side straps like you would a backpack, you can pull this front pack right up into your neck, which is not what you want.Based on my experience, adjusting the horizontal strap is what gives you the best fit.Alas, there is one downside I found with this pack: if I start sweating, it traps moisture and makes me feel hotter and sweatier.If you are not using it on a hot day and/or exerting yourself, it is not a problem; however, when you start to perspire, you notice the pack more and more, but not in a good way.The other aspect of this not everyone will love is the look.Front packs are not common and this one has a sort of military/law enforcement/first responder type aesthetic.On the other hand, all those professions use packs like these because it does offer a lot of advantages.Honestly, I really like this bag, but not for the reasons I thought I would.I expected to take this on a lot of hikes, but instead I find my self using it more in urban setting.When hiking, I tend to sweat more and worry less about having someone try to get into my pack.Walking around when I am in a city or travelling, this pack keeps everything I need more accessible and safer.That is a particularly big advantage when you are in areas where tourism is common and travelers get targeted for petty crime.If you are looking for a new way to carry your stuff around and are not always happy with your traditional backpacks, fanny packs, or shoulder bags, I would absolutely recommend giving this a try.While this might not be the pack you reach for in every situation, there are definitely going to be a lot of times you seek it out for the advantages it has over other bags.
